The date of linking Pan Card and Aadhar has been changed

    There has been a change in the date of linking Pan Card and Aadhar, know in which ways you can link?

     

    If you do not link your PAN and Aadhaar before this date, the PAN will become inactive and you may have to face a fine of up to Rs 10,000 for using an inactive PAN.

     

    The central government has extended the date for linking PAN card and Aadhaar. Earlier 31st September 2021 was the last date for linking but now it has been extended to 31st March 2022. If you do not link your PAN and Aadhaar before this date, the PAN will become inoperative and you may have to face a penalty of up to Rs 10,000 for using an inactive PAN, as well as the bank can deduct up to 20% TDS on your income.

     

    How to link PAN and Aadhar?

    You can link PAN card and Aadhar card through message and also online. To link through message, you have to type UIDPAN and give space to your Aadhar card and then enter your PAN card by giving space and send it to 56161.

     

    How to link Aadhaar and PAN online?

    1. To link Aadhaar and PAN online, you have to go to the official website of Income Tax Department, incometax.gov.in Where you will get the option of Aadhar link.
    2. After clicking on this option, on the page that will open, you will have to enter your PAN number, Aadhar number and the name given on the Aadhar card.
    3. After this you have to click on the link Aadhaar, after which the Income Tax Department will put your request in the process.

     

    How to check whether your PAN card is linked with Aadhar or not?

    1. Go to incometax.gov.in, this is the official website of the Income Tax Department.
    2. By going to this website, you have to click on the option of Aadhar Status.
    3. After the new page opens, you have to enter your Aadhaar, PAN number in the given places and click on Aadhaar link status.
    4. After clicking, information will come in front of you whether your PAN card is linked with Aadhaar or not.
