COD BO6 Available for Free for a Limited Period

  • Activision has announced a new free trial period for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for the launch of Season 3 on April 2. The highly anticipated content update is right around the corner and is expected to include a plethora of new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as well as new weapons, game modes, bug fixes, and much more. Fans who have yet to pull the trigger and purchase the newest entry in the Call of Duty series will have the opportunity to play for free next week.

Initially, Season 3 of Call of Duty was scheduled to launch on March 20, but just two weeks before the season was set to launch, Activision announced a disappointing delay. While Call of Duty: Warzone fans will be able to jump in on April 3, it was recently revealed that Season 3 will be launching a little earlier than expected for Black Ops 6 players. New seasons usually kick off in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone simultaneously, but Activision has now announced a slight change of plans as Black Ops 6 players will be able to jump into Season 3 from April 2.

With the return of Verdansk imminent, Activision has announced some lengthy server downtime for Call of Duty: Warzone ahead of the launch of Season 3. While the game's servers will be offline for 24 hours, the good news is that anybody who is yet to purchase Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be able to play for free during Warzone's downtime. While previous free trials have limited which content is accessible, Activision says that fans can access "the entire Season 3 premium game" for 24 hours, allowing players to grind out some of the new weapons coming in Season 3. Those who are looking to jump into the free trial will be able to play between April 2 and April 3.

A full reveal of all the new content coming to Black Ops 6 with its upcoming season will take place later today, but developer Treyarch Studios has already confirmed that Firing Range will return with Black Ops 6 Season 3. The iconic multiplayer map initially debuted with the original Black Ops, but will now be making a triumphant return with a brand-new remaster. In a recent PlayStation blog post, Activision said that players will be able to jump into "a remaster of Firing Range and modes like Demolition and Sharpshooter." There are also expected to be plenty of other multiplayer maps arriving with Season 3, but official details are yet to be confirmed.

There's still one week left to go until the launch of Season 3, but the good news is that Treyarch Studios is gearing up for a brand-new double XP weekend in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The event will kick off on Friday, March 28, and run until April 2. During this time, players will receive double level XP, double weapon XP, double Battle Pass XP, and double Gobblegum earn rate in Zombies. So for those looking to do some serious grinding before Season 3 begins, make sure to jump in this weekend.
